I am seriously considering making it a game with my friends to put all our phones at the center of the table when eating and whoever touches their phone first will pay for the entire bill. If the food arrives and nobody touches their phones, each person pays for his/her own meal. It’s crazy how we’ve become gadget-centric in the past year or two with the rise in smartphone use these days. This is pretty alarming. I do it too (not trying to act all holier than thou), and I think this culture of distraction is something to be reconsidered.
Here’s my take on John Legend’s “Ordinary People,” quite possibly one of the most soulful and intimate songs ever written.

Just because you think I’m smart and know everything doesn’t mean I was born to answer all your f*cking questions. I ain’t no goddamn concierge or secretary. Research the same way I do when I have to look up answers to your stupid questions. They didn’t invent Google for no reason.
